Wilzig Racing Manor's Charity Event for Camp Sundown
When we were contacted by Wilzig Racing Manor to provide food for their event helping Camp Sundown and how the event would help the organization we said,"Yes!" As you know we've done charity events, such as Variety the Children's Charity of New York.
Special Parent's Night and Afternoon Out is another child-centered organization where we serve food to the children with Special Needs while their parents get to have one-one parent time at a sponsored restaurant.
What is Camp Sundown?
Camp Sundown was established by Dan and Caren Mahar's whose daughter Katie was diagnosed with Xeroderma Pigmentosum. As we read about how children can not go out in the sunlight at all unless they are completely covered with sunscreen and protective clothing, we felt compelled to be part of Sunday’s event. Xeroderma Pigmentosum is a diagnosis that stays with a child for life and to date there is no cure.
Camp Sundown hosts children from all over the globe who have been diagnosed with Xeroderma Pigmentosum. Instead of having camp activities during the day, all activities are done at night. If your child suffers from life threatening UV sensitivity, this camp is the place for your child to attend.

A Generous Host with the Ultimate Car Collection
Alan Wilzig former banker , now racer , restaurateur, & owner of Wilzig Racing Manor has a private race track on his property. For car collectors it is the ultimate dream come true to drive your favorite sports car on a race track and never have to leave your own property. His car collection will wow any visitor on the premises for private events held at the racetrack.
We’re hoping to get a few pictures next to some of the cars before we have to serve our delicious Greek food for such a great charity event such as Camp Sundown. Along with Alan’s philanthropy, the Driving Force Club is going to help bring together an amazing car collection for this year’s event. You have to check out the gallery of cars on the Drive Force Club site. They are a car club for exotic and high-end sports cars and not brand specific.
Watch below what you can expect to see at Sunday’s event that starts at 10:30 a.m., June 25
