All week long there have been events around the country and also in New York City commemorating all past and current Veterans for Veterans Day. We remember the brave men and women in our families who have fought in wars; some returning while others have passed on.
We appreciate all of the freedoms that our families have enjoyed in the United States because soldiers have put themselves before all others to protect the rights of humans. We have many friends and family members that chose the career of being a soldier and we salute them. We hold the American flag close to our hearts and proudly wave it today.
We’re inviting you for Lunch
If you know a Veteran or active service member who will be in the New York City for the parade, show them how much you appreciate them by sending them to our truck for a free lunch. You can share the link on Twitter or Facebook; you can also send them an email with the information about how to redeem their lunch.
Here is what they will do:
- From 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. we will be at our usual spot at 51st and Park Ave.
- Show a Military ID as a current or past service member (Veteran’s ID, Veterans Advantage, and or DD214) at the ordering window.
- Choose from these two platters, the Combo Platter or the Chicken Platter, and a beverage (soda or bottled water.) Both of those platters come with yellow rice and Greek salad.
On behalf of my family and team,
