We believe that great food begins with family and our family surely knows great Greek food! Here is how the First Greek food truck in the world started.

My brother Franky and I come from a long line of New York City food vendors. Our family has been vending Greek fast casual food on the streets of NYC since 1971. It was then that our uncle began serving hot dogs and pretzels on 51st and Park Avenue. Today, Franky and I, we are bringing the best quality Mediterranean food to the city that never sleeps!

Uncle Gussy’s recipes have been tested and perfected. As a matter of fact, each dish is filled with hand-picked ingredients and homemade goodness. Our authentic seasoning is made from only the freshest lemon, Greek olive oil, salt and oregano. They are all imported directly from Greece. Uncle Gussy’s menu includes traditional Mediterranean dishes such as Kokkinisto, Keftedes, Gemista and Spanakopita. Another key point is that all authentic Greek restaurant recipes are prepared with love by our beautiful mother Katerina.

We don’t take any shortcuts when it comes to our food or anything else that we do. We strive by all means to bring you only the best in  Greek  food and quality and excellent customer service.
