Gussy opened his first food cart in 1971 on 51st Street and Park Avenue, in the heart of Manhattan. It quickly gained popularity, introducing New Yorkers to its generous portions of authentic Greek cuisine. Family matriarch Katerina, along with her sons Nicko and Franky, expanded the small family business to include Hellenic food.

The vending cart evolved into a portable restaurant as well as a reputable, globally recognized Greek food brand. Today, thousands of people visit Uncle Gussy's food trucks and restaurants, shop online, and order catering for their special occasions.

Uncle Gussy's has grown into a popular culinary institution, known for its convenient food trucks, bustling restaurants, online store, and catering services. Nearly half a century later, we remain committed to serving affordable yet hearty portions of Gyros, salads, and other Greek specialties. Each dish is carefully prepared with the finest ingredients, resulting in a taste reminiscent of home-cooked meals.
